Jacqueline Jaramillo | Owner & Instructor

She began at the Long Island Academy of Dance and later became rehearsal mistress at Sieskaya Ballet School, training many skilled dancers for 15 years. Jacqueline also worked with Huntington Ballet School with Jan Hannonford Goetz and Sandra Forsythe. She now owns and teaches at Long Island Youth Ballet.

Her experience includes time at the Orlando Ballet School in Florida, where she worked with director Peter Stark (formerly of NYC Ballet) and company director Bruce Marks (formerly of Boston Ballet).

Jacqueline is skilled in the CPYB syllabus and teaching methods and has improved her knowledge through the ABT teacher’s workshop. At Long Island Youth Ballet, she shares her love of dance using a clear and focused teaching style that helps hardworking students grow, even in large classes. Her experience and approach have also helped her train two of her own children, who become professional ballerinas and now teach alongside her at Long Island Youth Ballet.

Jacqueline is a native Long Islander with over 30 years of experience teaching dancers of all levels. She combines classical dance styles with strong technique and creativity in her high-quality ballet training.


Krystina & Kyra Wendelken | Instructors

Kyra and Krystina developed their strong classical foundation through their classical ballet training at the age of three at Seiskaya Ballet in St. James, New York, under the direction of Jacqueline Jaramillo.

Subsequently, they secured full scholarships to the Orlando Ballet School, where they trained under the esteemed Peter Stark for a seven-year period.

They pursued further studies at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the direction of Marcia Del Weary, alongside Laszlo Berdo and Leslie Hench.

Their exceptional talent led them to be offered positions with The Washington Ballet, where they had the privilege of performing in a diverse repertoire under the direction of Septime Webre.

In addition to their stage work, Krystina and Kyra had the honor of performing for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and making guest appearances on Good Morning Washington, D.C. They have also shared the stage with many of today’s world-renowned artists, including Misty Copeland.
